Don't you love to be frivolous?
Valentine Night reposition romanticism, there is no cupidons, no bow and arrow but only passion, lust and love. It is a figurative expressionist visual statement about making love to one another, being together and celebrating life. The ultimate day of the year acknowledging the significant other, the couple is celebrated on St Valentine day.
The bottle and glasses scattered, their choice of drinks and the spread clothes says something about their eagerness. The artwork is frivolous like their evening.
The artwork’s edge is frayed so the support cotton rag paper can be mounted on a mat board floating giving more dimension to the work if you wish.
Watercolour mix media, on cotton rag paper 220gsm
Artwork size: 58X96 cm, year 2020
